Background
LiveLee Soundz is the trade name of Lee Rose, a professional live vocal performer based in North
Essex.
Lee has been singing in public for nearly 15 years, during which time he has built up
a reputation as one of the most versatile and powerful singers in the area.
His broad taste in musical styles and wide vocal range allow him to perform almost any kind of
song from soft subtle ballads, to big rock anthems.
He started his musical career hosting karaoke in his local pub in 1994 at the age of just 19, before
joining keyboard based trio "Gallus" in late 1995. It was then that he gained his first experience of singing to large
audiences. Gallus performed at numerous weddings and functions around the local area throughout 1996 before disbanding in January 1997.
Lee then embarked on a 6 year solo stint singing to professional backing tracks, continuing to
entertain wedding parties as well as being in regular demand for various pubs and social clubs.
In 2002 Lee appeared on a prime time Saturday night TV talent show, impersonating James Dean Bradfield
of the Manic Street Preachers, before being headhunted for newly established local rock band, Hog Nosed Skunks.
The Skunks enjoyed four great years gigging around North Essex and Suffolk including appearances at
numerous town festivals and a slot on the "One Stage" at the 2004 Ipswich Music Day at Christchurch Park. The band eventually
decided to "go out on a high" in March 2006.
Today, Lee is back, more enthusiastic than ever before, performing a varied set of specially chosen
songs, both current and classic, to appeal to all tastes.
